Milan Day 4 - Museo del Duomo

Buona Sera!
Who doens't have enough after visiting the Milan Cathedral, can also take a look at the museum, which is situated in another building next to the cathedral. To be honest, the inside of the cathedral didn't impress me much. Or maybe I expressed it in a wrong way, because it is stunning, but you expect something different, when you look at the richly decorated facade. Of course, every church has its own flair and a cathedral is impressive just because of its dimension. And if you have ever visited St.Peters, you have visited the optimum, in my opinion. But of course there are even tiny churches, which are beautiful, because of there architechture or many decorations.Certainly there is some splendour inside the cathedral, which you can see here in my previous blog post, but if you want to see more and want to learn about the construction process, I highly recommend visiting the museum too.

Milan Day 4 - Duomo

Ciao! And off we go again through Milan! This time we really made it into the cathedral after 2 attempts ( or 3?). So come on in!
Ciao! Wohoo! Also kommt mit herein...;)

Milan Day 3 - Window Shopping

Ciao!
Because we walked around a little too long, it was once again too late to visit the Duomo. Fortunatelly the next day we had some remaining hours to try again, before it was time for us to travel to Rome.
If you think about Milan, you mainly think of fashion. So we walked to the fashion district and the so called "Golden Triangle", which consists of  three streets, Via Montenapoleone, Via Sant'Andrea and Via della Spiga. Of course we didn't go there for shopping, we just love to look at the creatively designed windows of the luxury brands. It has always been my dream ( and still is) to work as a Visual Merchandiser, so I find shop windows even more interesting. So if you offer an apprenticeship, please contact me.;)

Milan Day 3 - The journey is the destination

To discover the spirit of a city, sometimes it's useful to just stroll around without a specific destination. Unfortunatelly on most of my city trips, I don't follow my own advice, because I always have the fear of missing out on something.
On day 3 we once again started in the afternoon. Even though we wanted to visit the Milan Cathedral that day, which we admired from the outside the evening before, we got off the tram some stops earlier to catch some sunlight. And I can already reveal, that we didn't make it to the cathedral, but found the Colonne and the Basilica di San Lorenzo in a side road.

Milan - Outfit of the Day-3

If you follow me since my trip to Antwerp, you may have noticed, that I wore that camel jacket again. I think, if you just travel with carry-on luggage, it's important to pick pieces, that work with every item, so that you are able to create a coherent outfit from head to toe. Therefore classic pieces in monochromatic colours are your perfect companion. And like the day before, I wore my favorite black jeans from Primark, which I cut open by myself. The material is so stretchy, so they are as comfortable as leggings. I would definitely wear them even on a long flight. Another favorite piece of mine are the sneakers from Reebok I found a whiiiileee ago at Tk Maxx. I always take them on trips with me, because I know, I can walk miles in them and never get blisters.
The Simpsons-tshirt and the sunglasses are also from Primark and that feather-earpiece is from H&M.
