Prague - Day 2 - Charles Bridge

The Charles Bridge is, next to the Prag Castle, THE town's landmark. The night before we stopped there for a minute, but didn't see much in the dark. Then, in daylight, we could see the full splendor and dimension of the bridge.

Prague - Day 2 - Malá Strana

We spent only 3 days in Prague and for sure we didn't see every corner of the city, but of what we have seen, I liked the district below the castle the most, which is called Lesser Town of Prague or Malá Strana. This is how I imagined Prague to be. Beautiful, old palaces with little shops and restaurants along cobblestone roads.

Prague - Day 2 - Southern Garden

Hi! So these are the last photos from the Prague Castle on the second day.(Check out the previous posts from Prague Castle: the Golden Lane, the Royal Palace & Cathedral St.Vitus . When everything was closed, we wanted to walk down to the Charles Bridge and check out the district near the castle, because it's suppoesed to be one of the most beautiful parts of the city. But before we crossed the southern gardens and went to the  square called Hradcany Square in front of the main gate to Prague Castle, where many palaces with museums are located.

Hi!

Prague - Day 2 - The Golden Lane

So after we visited the cathedral and the royal palace, everything closed and we followed the other tourists in the direction of the "Golden Lane". We felt like in Disneyland with the small, coloured houses and we thought, everything was a bit too over-restored. You can also visit some of the houses, where the alchemists supposed to have lived and also many weapons and suits of armour. But mainly gift shops are now situated in the tiny houses.

Prague - Day 2 - Old Royal Palace

So let's continue with our discovery tour. We managed to visit the cathedral and then we had some minutes left to sneak into the old royal palace. There is not much to see, so 15 minutes were enough to take some panorama pics on the terrace. For people interested in history, it's important to know, that the palace was the location of the second defenestration of Prague.

Prague - Up to the Hradčany - St. Vitus

Well, all right! So we left the hotel as early as always, like at 3 in the afternoon. In Prague I definitely wanted to visit the Prague Castle. So when we arrived, we had one hour left. Fortunatelly the entrance ticket was valid for two days, so we planned to return the next day. But in one hour we thought we could check off some parts of the complex. So we started with the cathedral St. Vitus with its awesome, colourful windows. I always feel a little inappropriate, when taking photos in churches, but I always turn off the flash, so that I don't bother any people.
Check out my previous Prague-posts here:Day1-Part1, Day1-Part2, Day2-Part1

Nun denn..

My Bdaytrip - Out of (the) Day 2

Ahoj! So to continue in a chronological order, I'll start day 2 and my actual birthday with some outfit photos, we took in a hurry. Because as always, we started our day way too late. So before taking the subway, I forced my bf to take 2-3 quick shots. Normally I wear a dress on my birthday, but because I knew, the weather wouldn't be great, I just packed trousers. So I turned my casual go-to-look with my favorite leatherjacket, my favorite destroyed-jeans and my knee-high-boots, into a birthdaylook by adding a sequined top. And that bag, I took on many journeys, you won't see again. Because now all the zippers are broken. Oh and I have to mention the necklace, which I bought last year in Naples at Bershka and haven't worn yet, because I wanted to keep it for some special event.:)But after I wore it one time, I didn't want to take it off, because it looks a little different and almost ancient.

Ahoj!
//The subway is quiet an adventure, for people with fear of heights.:)
